It's Time!

....for a vacation.

Reese and I are going on a mini vacay in the fall to CHICAGO! We tried to plan this last year but it never worked out. Tell us- what are some fun things to do in Chicago? I've never been- I want to know where to shop, stay, eat, etc..

Furthermore, I'm also planning another mini vacay in November since I get a two month paid break from work- holla- thank you Jesus! I take that back- "planning" is a very fluid concept since I don't actually know where I want to do. Ideas?

Somewhere warm away from the cold and wind of Michigan?

Tiny cabin for the weekend?

Swanky hotel for a staycation? Pool, hot tub, spa, etc...

Big city to try something new and crazy?!

What do you all think? Where do you like to vacation?

Have a good weekend, lovies! Reese is in Michigan for a BRITNEY SPEARS concert and I am working/helping boyfriend paint his house!

Beauty Review+ I Miss You

Omg. I started this post Friday at work and I got too busy to finish it! I haven't blogged in forever...by the time I get home from work I am just exhausted. I've also been spending a little bit of time with someone lately- there may be a surprise for you all soon. ;-)

Anyways..I just wanted to do a couple of beauty reviews for the summer- what are your fave products?!
Does anybody else use this? I've been using it for YEARS..literally, but I feel like it's not doing a good job? I switched from the light to medium and I still dont' look that tan. I hate to do this to my skin but I've been going in a bed too to be tan for an upcoming wedding! source

I bought this yesterday...but in the little roller ball. I don't go through perfume that quickly because a) I always smell like a baby by the end of work anyways, b) the baby is allergic to fragrance, and b) it just melts off/evaporates in the summer. The roller ball is the size of a Sharpie- it can come anywhere with me. The fragrance is sweet but not sugary- definitely good for date night! source

I just bought this mascara and I LOVE it. I've been using it on its own (three coats) but I've also layered it with my ULTA and Clinique mascara. I can only imagine how huge my lashes would be if I put falsies on and then sealed them with this!

I am obsessed with this- it is the BEST stuff for your hair year round. It keeps my hair smooth in the humidity and the dry winter. I have shoulder length hair and I literally use half a dime size on my wet hair. The rest I just rub into my hands- makes them so soft. source

What are your favesies?!

XO,
Leigh

P.S. I promise a blog post and pictures sooner rather than later!

Rules Of A Lady [because we're all so classy]

So as always, I was searching around Piccsy late one night and I found all of these pictures titled "Rules Of A Lady".  I obviously had to set out to find if this was a blog thing or website (but those are kinda the same thing, right?) Anywho.  The best I could do was find some scattered around Tumblr. ...I'm sure there is more out there but it's late and I'm tired and I worked a long shift today.  I apologize blog lovies!

I collected some of my favorites that I found so I thought I would share with you!
Don't we all want to have that moment in life when you spot an ex on one of your good days?  Like the day you put on a hot smoky eye and finally got that dress out of the back of your closet?

Wise.

I guess this goes with the whole spotting your ex thing.  It's a fun quote nonetheless...and you know how much we enjoy quotes!

Although it can be killer sometimes, you know it feels good to master the art of strutting in your favorite pumps!

I know I'm just a guarded person but I took this to heart.

Keep them wanting more!!

There you have it.  My two cents for the day...er morning.  What have you, have a lovely day! xoxo

PS- If anyone knows where the full list of this is...or if there even is one... hit us up!! :)

Things.

Bloggy World,

1. Are you out there? Are you reading? Are you listening? Reese and I are starting to feel a little bit abandoned, methinks. Please speak up soon, lest we feel left out anyl onger.

2. Much has gone on since we last spoke. Events include but are not limited to: working 60 hours a week, dealing with rude people on a DAILY basis, much pool time, laughs with friends, AND...freeing myself from a completely unhealthy situation. I have not felt this good in a while. I know my decision was tough, and hurtful to me and the other person, but I finally realized that what was going on what unhealthy, and I have to do what's best for me.

3. Let me just say...Ladies, if a man wants to be with you, he will make the effort. He will treat you like gold. He will respect you and show that he cares. If it's not there, it's just not there. Let him go. Might I add this thought...that I realized the other day? I really don't care...where I meet my significant other, or how, or when. I don't care if we're different people, and if he thinks I have too many cats, or I take too long to get ready. I don't care that he spends too much time lounging on the couch and isn't ready for a day of errands and crafts by 9am thankyouverymuch. I care that the respect, and enjoyment, and happiness and comittment are there. That's what matters. I've said that to say all this- if the above 4 principles are not there...it is not for you.

4. I want to rent a cabin for a week up north and do the following things: drink beer, drink wine, go on a boat, lay out, jet ski. That is all.

5. I finally got to spend some time with a long lost friend this week! I've been working so so much that I haven't even had time for a lunch or coffee date. I was doing so well for a while at balancing my schedule and keeping up with friends, for the past month or so I've really lost touch. Sad.

6. I dropped both of my summer classes. Isn't that disappointing? I dropped the first one because none of the readings made sense and the videos the professor posted were in Spanish and Dutch with subtitles. Right, of course. I dropped the second one simply because I do not have the time, energy, or motivation to do classes right now. I have TOO much on my plate with work and I can't do school as well. I know this sounds immature but I AM 21...I want to spend my free time at the pool, at the movies, with friends, etc...not doing homework.

Talk soon?
Have a good week, lovies

Snapshots

Like any other 20-somethings, we both spend a lot of our time online.  Like Leigh, I spend my free time online looking through pictures of stuff that interests me like yummy foods, beautiful clothes and some interior decorating things.  A site besides Pinterest that I suggest everyone go check out is Piccsy.com.  They have a great selection- I literally sit at my computer for hours laughing and smiling!  Open up a new tab a check it out, people!  I'm just going to post a couple things I find interesting because as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words!
Ain't it the truth!  Leigh and I go to a little shop and they sell magnets like these.  I really hope I find a gem like this when I go! ...or it could be my next craft project!

Preach.  I'm guilty of holding grudges to the max.  I know it's easier said than done, but hey, I'll give it a try!

LOVE THIS.  I want a house like this.  Huge windows with lots of wood to bring a natural feeling into the house.  Maybe a little more color though, white would not survive my lifestyle!

Ummm yes please!  How cute are these?  Plus it is all of my favorite indulgences placed perfectly together in sticky, gooey perfection!

Again, dream house.  Right on the water, open and modern.  I just love it!

Another great quote I found.  Throw caution to the wind and do what you love!  I promise you will be so much happier!

Just gorgeous and it reminds me of the sunsets off the lake in my hometown.  Sometimes being home isn't so bad :)

I just thought this was adorable.  I think I'm making the Italian flags for our next big family gathering.  There is nothing my family loves more than some basilico fresco, pomodoro e mozzarella!

So I pretty much backed up our page with pictures but it was really hard to scale it down.  I promise to bring more but I thought I should close it out with something to remember big time.  Always feel pretty.  No matter where you are or what you're doing.  We always have those off days but just keep smiling.  You never know who is falling in love with your smile!

And there is the cheesy factor for the day! haha
Stay beautiful, Reese

Small Talk....

1. what's your favorite rainy day activity?
-If I can sleep in, I will...wearing pajamas all day, watching movies...
2. what time do you go to bed?
-Later than I should...sometimes my brain will not stop working so I end up laying awake till 11 or 11:30
3. how many magazines do you subscribe to?
-None.
4. did you sell all your belongings because you thought the world was ending yesterday?
-No. That would be ridiculous. (And this survey is obviously old)
5. what's your beauty obsession?
-Mascara! I layer on 4 of them each morning.
6. if you could only wear one designer/brand for the rest of your life...what would it be?
-I'm not that picky...I would choose to shop at The Limited for the rest of forever though.
7. what's your summer must have?
Dresses!
8. do you make weekly dinner menus?
-Nope- I eat breakfast at home, buy lunch almost every day, and I don't eat dinner.
